Darrell Rott Memorial Fund

Throughout his life, Darrell Rott was a lot of things to a lot of people—a husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, chaplain, and pastor. In all of these roles, he never failed to give of himself, sharing his love, time, comfort, wisdom, resources, and laughter with everyone he came into contact with. He was a shining example of generosity in action and how it can change the world, one person at a time.

Today, we all have an opportunity to learn from Darrell’s example and continue his mission of love. Darrell was passionate about a wide range of humanitarian projects, including supporting the Valley Queens Girls Soccer Club in Zambia. This team helps keep young women in school and off the streets, while providing them the opportunity to compete on the national level. Darrell was introduced to the team by his close friend and longtime travel partner Gordy Gates, and hoped to visit Zambia with Gordy in the near future.

In memory of Darrell and the impact he had on each of us, you are encouraged to make a donation to the Valley Queens project in his name. Donations will be used to support team members in a variety of ways, including covering school costs, equipping them with trade skills, and providing transportation to games.

Thank you for helping to perpetuate Darrell’s legacy of love and generosity.
